Emerald Health was founded by Dr. Arun Rajan — a neurologist who watched good practices, including his own, bleed revenue because their billing partners couldn't keep up.
After cycling through vendors who overpromised and underdelivered, he built the solution himself. Starting with his own practice in 2010, he developed a billing model designed around one question:
What would it actually take to fix this?
The answer became Emerald Health.
Sixteen years later, that answer serves 20+ practices nationwide — more than $200 million collected, a denial rate under 3%, and a team of 50+ across Massachusetts, Texas, and Chennai. The model has grown into end-to-end revenue cycle management and staffing support, but the founding question still drives every engagement.

Founder & President
Dr. Arun Rajan is a board-certified neurologist who founded Emerald Health in 2010 after watching billing partners repeatedly fail his own practice. He built Emerald to be the billing company he could never find: one that answers to physicians, not spreadsheets. Now retired from clinical practice, Arun devotes his full attention to Emerald's strategic growth.
Sanjay Gupta
Co–founder & Managing Partner
Sanjay leads business development and strategic growth at Emerald Health, working directly with practice owners and administrators nationwide. His focus: helping ambulatory practices strengthen their revenue cycle and scale confidently through Emerald's RCM and virtual staffing services.
Sathesh Parameswaran
Co-founder & CTO
Sathesh leads Emerald's technology and India operations, overseeing the Chennai team along with HIPAA security, business continuity, HR, and compliance. He brings decades of experience building and delivering enterprise systems across the US, Europe, and APAC - depth that shapes everything from Emerald's infrastructure to its operational resilience.

Director of Revenue Cycle
Senthil brings more than 18 years of medical billing and revenue cycle expertise to Emerald Health, including a decade leading the company's operations team. Under his leadership, Emerald's operations team has built its reputation for clean claims, fast resolution, and a denial rate that consistently stays under 3%.
